| | APSA’s annual Flag Day fund raising for the fight against diabetes was held on December 22, 23 & 24, in over 10 different regions in the island. | | |  The APSA team is very grateful to the Mauritian public, companies, and all the volunteers who contributed to making the 2009 Flag Days a success. It was tremendously encouraging to feel the Mauritian public’s support for this worthy cause and their willingness to rally alongside APSA in order to get the Diabetes Care Centre up and running in 2010. Thanks to this great support, the association raised over Rs 1 400 000 during this fund raising event! We are immensely thankful to you all !  | |

| | Two months after the start of the construction, the ground floor slabs of both parts of the building have now been cast, and the walls are up to first floor level. | | | Facilities for electricity and plumbing are being put in place at the same time.   The outline of the future building is already clearly visible along with the interior rooms including the consulting rooms and the courtyard.
